Embracing your Weirdness

I spent a whole afternoon trying to recruited student volunteers to help with local Scouting. I sat, in the cold SU entrance. And not one person was interested. The problem is when people start out like that, they’ll never get any better. And we’ll have a population of people who just cannot be bothered to do anything for others.

I don’t get it. There are young people all over the contry, who are desperate to join youth monvemnts such as scouts and guides, and there is just not the adult manpower to support them.

Year of the Volunteer – Yeah Right.

I just don’t see why people cannot give up thier free time to support local communities, but (especailly young people) can go out crateing choas in city centres at night.
